Product Design Internship:

During my Snapchat internship, I was one of only three individuals selected for the product design program. I actively tackled weekly design challenges, consistently delivering innovative solutions. I closely collaborated with core product designers, design engineers, and UX researchers, contributing meaningful ideas to enhance the platform. The internship culminated in a final presentation, highlighting my significant contributions and the advanced skills I developed in this dynamic environment.

Problem:

Create's AI agent platform builds software features based on user-generated prompts, but the resulting end products have inconsistent design and aesthetics due to mismatched components from different sources, leading to a sloppy appearance.

Solution:

Our team created a comprehensive component library with 300+ components inspired by popular design systems. This library ensured the AI agent used consistent components, leading to successful feature builds with a cohesive design and aesthetic.

Problem:

Baro's engineering team both designed and engineered the initial prototype, however it lacked UX design and strategy, resulting in a subpar user experience.

Solution:

Improved the prototype's user experience by implementing targeted changes to UI elements, prioritizing accessibility, layout, spacing, and copy while staying within existing engineering constraints.

Problem:

Existing pregnancy apps focus on obstetrical aspects, neglecting the psycho/social needs of expecting and new mothers.

Solution:

A doula/midwife-led app emphasizing psycho/social support for mothers, offering a safe and compassionate space to share experiences and receive guidance.

Problem:

People who experience disfluency struggle to communicate confidently in phone/video calls and feel self-conscious about using visible assistive technologies.

Solution:

A mobile app and web platform that utilizes adjustable delayed auditory feedback (DAF), frequency-altered feedback (FAF), and choral speech effects to improve fluency and communication, providing a discreet solution for users to communicate with more confidence.
